Strategic Leader for Military Child Education

The Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring quality educational opportunities for military-connected children.

As the President/CEO, you will provide leadership to deliver measurable, cost-effective results and inspire the MCEC team of staff and volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in senior management positions and be experienced in leading strategic efforts to increase revenue from state and federal entities, foundations, corporations, community organizations, and individual supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the organization and ensure the delivery of quality educational programs and services.
  • Work closely with the Board Chair to enable the Board to fulfill its governance functions and facilitate the optimum performance of the Board, its committees, and individual Board members.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and ensure the proper execution of established policies.
  • Act as a spokesperson for MCEC and promote legislative and regulatory policies that address the issues of MCEC's constituencies.
  • Adapt to changing education policy and trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in senior management positions.
  • Experience in leading strategic efforts to increase revenue from state and federal entities, foundations, corporations, community organizations, and individual supporters.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with the Board, staff, and volunteers.
