Job Title: Relationship Manager II
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Relationship Manager II to join our team at City National Bank. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for acquiring and deepening client relationships, generating new business, and expanding existing relationships to become our clients' main bank option.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire and deepen client relationships by generating new business and expanding existing relationships.
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients and actively deepen client relationships through cross-selling efforts.
- Develop and maintain relationships within the internal CNB community to facilitate service issues and opportunities for clients and prospects.
- Deliver an exceptional and consistent client experience by ensuring client needs are met, escalations are resolved appropriately, and consistent delivery is centered on key areas of client needs.
- Improve sales and banking acumen by continuously developing stronger banking acumen and sales practices through collaboration with SME colleagues, leveraging internal training resources, and required job family curriculum.
- Capture a holistic view of clients' needs by drawing insights from data to provide sound financial advice and conducting discovery activities with existing clients to grow current business.
- Partner with a collaborative mindset to meet client needs by introducing them to the right partner in the CNB ecosystem and championing the Global Relationship Management (GRM) approach.
- Interact in an effective and professional manner with all levels of Bank personnel, corporate, and bank clients, demonstrating commitment to quality client service.
- Maximize client contact by networking and being visible in the community, representing the Bank by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business, and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of direct sales experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial institution required.
- Must be in good standing under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of CNB's offering, particularly those catered to Preferred, personal, or small business clients.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment CNB operates in to manage risk and ensure compliance (includes deep knowledge of CIP and KYC).
- Understanding of the economic environment and its impact on clients.
- Review financial statements to fully understand a client's financial health and advise accordingly.
- Ability to maintain a profitable relationship, balancing bank and client needs.
Compensation: Starting base salary: $71,869 - $114,797 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
