Role of Clinical Support Specialist:

As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will collaborate with healthcare providers and execute tasks in accordance with their directives. This role encompasses both administrative and clinical responsibilities under the guidance of the center administrator and attending healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a clinical environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete and pass a background check.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Must possess a medical assistant certification from an accredited institution.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to operate under general supervision and independently.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and document patient medical histories and personal information.
  • Evaluate patients during initial and follow-up visits.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and respiration rates during each visit.
  • Prepare patients for examinations.
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient assessments.
  • Clarify physician instructions as necessary.
  • Deliver services in compliance with reimbursement, ethical, and legal standards.
  • Notify healthcare providers and relevant personnel of any changes in patient conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure patient care metrics are met.
  • Document daily notes in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient status and obtain additional orders when required.
  • Perform phlebotomy tasks, including the collection and preparation of laboratory specimens.
  • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
