Job Summary:

Group SSI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current network server systems and make recommendations for improvements based on business and technical requirements.
  • Experience in engineering and analyzing complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites.
  • Ability to resolve difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across all platforms, including e-mail, file transfers, and multimedia.
  • Supports acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services based on technical requirements.
  • Participate in technical planning, project coordination, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and other operational support requirements throughout the lifecycle of the systems.
  • Operate and maintain Windows and Linux RedHat servers.
  • Provide operations and maintenance support for Windows and RedHat Linux Servers and manage team tasking.
  • Apply a systematic, engineering approach to the design, architecting, development, operation, and use of cloud technologies and platforms for mission solutions.
  • Work closely with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and authorizing official's teams to ensure the cloud is developed and maintained to meet and keep the authority to operate (ATO).
  • Work with Cloud engineers to develop required strategies to monitor the cloud usage in line with security requirements and to ensure best performance is achieved.
  • Support new and existing Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
  • Support the implementation of security measures in workstations, servers, and other system components.
  • Perform assessments, corrective actions, or initiate upgrades to enhance security to protect all forms of code from unauthorized access for supporting systems.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of hardware and software that will be delivered to and installed on ONI networks.
  • Ensure that hardware and software deliverables meet cybersecurity requirements as specified under DoDI , Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations, to include the latest guidance from Authorizing Officials (AOs).

Requirements:

  • TS/SCI or TS/SCI eligible.
  • MS/MBA degree in IT, IA, or IA-related field.
  • 7 years of experience in IA technology, Enclave Environment, advanced NE, and advanced CE.
  • Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience.
  • Mastery of the functions of the IAT Level I position.
  • Have experience with MS SQL (all current and previous versions), DNS in a Windows environment, Windows server operating systems (all current and previous versions), Windows desktop operating system (all current and previous versions), Server patching/software loading, NetApp or enterprise data storage systems, Active Directory, Classified network security documentation development, Red Hat Linux.
  • IAT Level III Certification.
