Job Title: Senior Network Security Engineer

Lincoln Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and administering network security tools to prevent, detect, and respond to security events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to configure and ensure appropriate data flows and integration with various systems.
  • Assess and develop network security requirements and evaluate security services and technologies.
  • Identify systems misconfigurations and provide guidance to correct and analyze configurations.
  • Maintain availability of security technologies, including intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, and endpoint detection/response solutions.
  • Manage multifactor authentication infrastructure health and availability, collaborating with security teams as needed.
  • Review firewall security policies and profiles, making recommendations based on security best practices.
  • Maintain secure web gateways, including traffic steering configuration, client health, and client configuration.
  • Proactively identify and prioritize network security gaps, facilitating collaboration between security and infrastructure teams.
  • Partner with project teams to incorporate control techniques into the overall security model.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation of technical solutions and communicate plans to management and customers.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years of Information Security/Infrastructure Protection experience directly aligning with the position's responsibilities.
  • Four-Year undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong networking knowledge and understanding of traffic flow.
  • Strong security policy implementation experience.
  • Network security architecture and design experience.
  • Experience with installation, deployment, and management of security tools/devices, both hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud networking in Amazon and Microsoft cloud environments.
  • Experience in deploying, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting secure web gateways.
  • Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology Cyber Security Framework, MITRE Adversary Tactics, Techniques and Common Knowledge, Center for Internet Security Critical Security Controls, and similar frameworks.
  • Scripting experience – Python, PowerShell, and Shell scripting.
