Job Description

OATH's Clerks Office is seeking Community Associates to work in our Clerks Office. This role involves interacting with community members who need information about summonses they have received. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Serving as the liaison between OATH and the community, providing information and support on summonses, scheduling hearings, and paying fines.
  • Responding to community inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensuring that community members understand the adjudication process and have access to justice.
  • Investigating and attempting to resolve complaints from the public appearing before OATH.
  • Processing cases efficiently to minimize wait times for the public.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities.
  • Or education and/or experience equivalent to the above.
