Job Summary:

As a Security Officer with WSManagement Inc, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our hotel and its property. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and security of our guests and their personal belongings. You will provide exceptional guest services while upholding all company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular foot patrols of the hotel's interior and perimeter to identify potential security risks or undesirable conditions.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as fires or other safety hazards, in a calm and rational manner.
  • Handle undesirable conduct, violations of company policy, and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons, and property.
  • Answer security calls and respond in a timely manner based on priority.
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel and guestroom locking systems.
  • Deliver requested items to guest rooms as needed.
  • Comply with company standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Be aware of all visitors entering/exiting the property and notify management of any suspicious activity.
  • Conduct exterior and interior patrols of the hotel premises on a regular basis.
  • Inspect each entrance/exit to ensure proper closure and report any malfunction to management.
  • Assist guests with room location and access as needed.
  • Respond to accidents, contact authorities and EMS as necessary, and report to management as required.
  • Respond to guest requests and re-direct to appropriate departments as needed.
  • Complete documentation and reporting of all security/loss prevention-related incidents.
  • Ensure pool and fitness center hours and other general hotel rules are enforced.
  • Manage difficult/noisy guests following company procedures.
  • Remain aware of all potential security problems/unusual or suspicious situations and report them to management.
  • Escort unwelcome persons from the property in a safe manner.
  • Support other departments as needed with cleaning and maintenance support.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Transport guests safely and courteously in the company vehicle in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
  • Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
  • Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
  • Always follow established safety procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable about the property's layout, facilities, and services.
  • Know emergency procedures, safety data sheets, safety precautions, and safe work habits.
  • Able to work a varied schedule, including holidays, weekends, and nights, as the business dictates.
