Marketing Communications Director

Democracy Prep Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Marketing and Communications to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that supports our mission to educate responsible citizen-scholars who will change the world.
About the RoleThe Director of Marketing and Communications will work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment, Marketing & Communications to ensure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of our vision and narrative. This includes developing and executing internal and external communications strategies, managing our website and social media presence, and overseeing emergency and crisis communications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that supports our mission and goals
- Work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment, Marketing & Communications to ensure alignment and effective communication with all stakeholders
- Manage the Marketing & Communications Team to support marketing and communications efforts across the organization
- Oversee the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategies, including social media, email marketing, and crisis communications
- Manage our website and social media presence to ensure consistency and accuracy of messaging
- Partner with the Civics department on key initiatives and ensure collaboration between the Marketing & Communications Team and other CMO teams
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Master's degree in a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on education or non-profit organizations
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing and communications strategies
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
