Position Summary: Oversees and manages insurance portfolios for Employee Benefits, serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer a diverse portfolio of clients, including both fully insured and potentially self-insured accounts.
- Deliver dedicated assistance to assigned clients, acting as the principal intermediary between clients and insurance carriers.
- Prepare and present materials for client consultations, educating clients on compliance matters such as ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and Health Care Reform.
- Facilitate the establishment of new group insurance agreements and manage the renewal process.
- Execute recommended initiatives and strategies to enhance employee benefits offerings.
- Assess carrier proposals and coverage alternatives to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Formulate alternative strategies aimed at cost reduction and growth of client accounts.
- Conduct on-site consultations and effectively address client concerns.
- 2-4 years of experience in the employee benefits sector.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Experience in customer service is advantageous.
- A life and disability insurance license is required or the willingness to obtain one.
- Proficient in web-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong skills in prioritization and deadline management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to dynamic environments.
- Commitment to staying informed on industry developments and trends.
