Job Summary

The Manager, Corporate Strategy will be a key partner in developing and refining corporate and business unit strategy.


This role will help craft the corporate roadmap and identify critical customer, competitive, and macroeconomic trends impacting the business.


The Manager, Corporate Strategy will work closely with leaders across the organization on decisions that help improve our market share, profitability, and competitive advantage in a rapidly changing industry.


This role reports to the Sr Mgr, Corporate Strategy and is a hybrid position with a requirement of working in our Lake Forest office three days per week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the corporate strategic planning process, including corporate development and business unit strategy across segments
  • Develop unbiased point-of-view on the critical issues facing our business at both the corporate or business unit level
  • Engage with P&L's or functional areas on high-impact strategy projects
  • Bring relevant competitor and market perspective to internal leaders
  • Support executive team on regular cadence of internal or external communications
  • Lead development of due diligence on potential investment opportunities relevant to the organization's strategy
  • Support Corporate Development in the execution of minority investment deals


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • 2+ years of consulting experience from a strategy consulting firm, including generalist experience across multiple industries
  • Or 2+ years of Corporate Venture Capital experience from a Fortune 500 firm
  • Commercial or investment due diligence experience
  • Exposure to industrials within consulting preferred
  • Experience managing multiple high-profile assignments
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems, frame key questions, and develop a work-plan to answer them
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills and proficiency with Excel
  • Experience building presentations with PowerPoint, with messaging appropriate for audiences at all levels
  • Understanding of complex customer needs, competitive dynamics, and framing potential growth strategies
  • Ability to aggregate disparate market, customer, and expert information into a cohesive recommendation for executive leaders


Our estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on your qualifications and experience.
