Job Summary

East Texas Quality Care Network is seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in the evaluation and treatment of oncology and hematology patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist oncologists and nurse practitioners in the evaluation of oncology and hematology patients by triage in the office setting.
  • Perform technical procedures and skills in the specialty area of oncology, including the administration of medications and treatments specific to cancer care.
  • Provide flexibility and willingness to cover in the radiation oncology clinic as needed.
Qualifications

We are seeking a RN with 2 years of clinical experience in the area of Oncology. One year of RN experience in a clinic setting is preferred. Experience in Radiation Oncology is a plus. Must possess and maintain a current RN license to practice in Texas. Must possess and maintain current BLS Healthcare Provider. ACLS is preferred upon hire or attain within one year of hire. OCN is preferred upon hire or attain within one year of eligibility. Chemotherapy certification through the Oncology Nursing Society is preferred upon hire.
