About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gynecologic Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities. As a Gynecologic Oncology RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients with gynecologic cancers, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
  • Assess health status, collect and record nursing assessment and interventions, and provide teaching and other instructional material to patients and families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care, assist physicians with exams and procedures, and maintain efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
  • Triage patient phone calls, document relevant information in the patient's chart, and facilitate communication between patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Assist patients in locating available community resources and provide support and education to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Five years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
