We are seeking a skilled Controls Systems Designer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and programming HVAC control systems to meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Select hardware designs from standard design libraries for flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics as required.
* Perform software programming using established standards as a basis of design.
* Coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
* Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects.
* Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required.
* Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
* Gather field changes from the project team and create as-built drawings and software.
* Prepare proper documentation and/or manuals for system operation.
* Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
* Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system.
* Complete paperwork including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.

Requirements

* Minimum of two - four years of experience with installing and/or commissioning controls systems including system-level controllers.
* Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
* Demonstrated technical aptitude.
* Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools.

Preferred

* Bachelors in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Compensation

The hiring pay range is $27.25-$40.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
