Role Overview

MDD is seeking a Forensic Accounting Specialist to play a vital role within our accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation in accounting and finance, alongside exceptional communication and analytical abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine financial reports and schedules for accuracy
  • Engage in strategic discussions with the accounting team
  • Input and analyze financial data and invoices
  • Support clients during financial investigations by conducting interviews to identify involved parties
  • Conduct forensic research to trace funds and identify recoverable assets
  • Validate claims against source documentation
  • Assess insurance claims and evaluate economic damages
  • Collaborate with senior staff on litigation cases, property assessments, and business valuations
  • Assist in compiling accounting reports based on financial findings
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations
  • Perform research and other duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Currently pursuing CPA certification
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and maintain a positive outlook
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
