At St. Joseph Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Health Information Management Professional to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the HIM department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of medical records. With a minimum of 3-5 years of Health Information Management experience and at least 1 year of HIM management experience in an acute care setting, you will be well-equipped to handle the demands of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a positive member of the SJMC HIM Management team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Operations staff and functions assigned by the Director of Health Information Management.
  • Available to assist internal and external customers as necessary and appropriate and will be involved with the daily production processes to ensure that departmental objectives and timelines are met.
  • Representation of the department/facility at meetings as requested and appropriate will be expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of an accredited HIM Program preferred.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum based on location and experience. Please note that this is an estimate and actual salary may vary.
