Job Title: Records Management/Document Control Specialist

This is a full-time contract position with Smarter HR Solutions LLC. The successful candidate will work on-site in Houston, TX.

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Records Management/Document Control Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing and maintaining records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and implementing efficient record-keeping systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and classify records, develop retention policies, and implement efficient record-keeping systems.
  • Manage electronic and digital record management systems.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to records management.
  • Hands-on experience with archiving and creating file structures for saving archives.
  • Digitize files for easy retrieval.
  • Scanning and cataloging new and existing documents.
  • Implement metadata and taxonomy systems for efficient record organization.
  • Conduct quality checks on records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field is required. A bachelor's degree in Information Management, Library Science, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in Records Management are a plus.
  • Proven experience in Records Management, Administrative Support, or related field.
  • Familiarity with compliance management and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of information management best practices.
  • Proficiency in proofreading and attention to detail.
  • Experience with file digitization processes.
  • Familiarity with metadata, taxonomy, and file organization systems.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $22-$25 per hour. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development.
