Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business License Research Specialist to join our team at Wolters Kluwer N.V. in White Plains, NY. As a key member of our Small Business Team, you will be responsible for conducting research on business licensing requirements for our clients and partners across various industries and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct industry-specific research to identify federal, state, county, and city-level business licensing requirements.
  • Create customized research packages for timely delivery to clients, meeting our established key performance indicators.
  • Compile licensure specifications in PDF and Excel formats, including forms, hyperlinks, supporting documents, exam requirements, prerequisites, turnaround times, fees, and renewal data.
  • Communicate directly with government agencies to resolve business license research inquiries.
  • Provide proactive updates to clients and partners on order statuses and delays.
  • Effectively convey findings to clients and team members through oral and written correspondence.
  • Contribute to the expansion and update of our industry knowledge by adding new and updated license information for future use.
  • Interact with clients and business partners to identify, explain, and resolve business licensing needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in the licensing or compliance field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with partner representatives, government agencies, colleagues, and clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to work independently, handle pressure, multitask, and prioritize work at all times.
  • Use of considerable tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive data.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments.
  • Outstanding skills using personal computers in a Windows-based environment, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF.
Compensation

Target salary range: $44,000-$60,200 (CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA).
