We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Surgical Services Coordinator to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our surgical department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our central sterile services and surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Coordinate activities and tasks in support of surgical and central sterile services, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Manage shift operations, including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources, to optimize productivity and patient care.
- Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assign, monitor, and review progress of work, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates, providing feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
- Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
