Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team in Bloomington, Indiana. As a key member of our Advanced Analytics and Cloud Program, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of shipping and receiving to ensure timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any issues related to shipments and deliveries.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all logistics operations.
  • Provide support in the preparation of logistics reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. An associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, and inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
