Job Overview

Compensation is determined by experience and specific role within the company, including positions for heavy equipment operators, skid steer operators, telehandler operators, excavator operators, and solar pile driving specialists.

Position: Solar Pile Driving Operator

Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in operating heavy construction machinery. Certification as a forklift operator and completion of OSHA 10 training are mandatory. Solar pile driving operators should demonstrate proficiency in installing piles according to construction specifications and tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy machinery in accordance with the company's safety protocols.
  • Offer suggestions for enhancing environmental performance.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials from transport vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of company equipment, materials, and worksite, including proper disposal of waste.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reporting.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment prior to operation.
  • Assist in setting up lasers and string lines as needed.
  • Support the placement of piles using compact track loaders before installation.
  • Ensure piles meet specified tolerances.
  • Exhibit hand and foot coordination for maneuvering large machinery in confined spaces.
  • Monitor operational indicators and make adjustments as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members on busy construction sites.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues with heavy equipment.
  • Utilize critical thinking to evaluate solutions and select the most effective and economical options.

Work Environment:

All tasks are performed outdoors, exposing workers to varying weather conditions. Candidates must be capable of working in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand and remain active throughout the shift.
  • Willingness to walk extensively on job sites.
  • Reliable transportation is essential, as employees are responsible for commuting to project locations.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • A high school diploma is necessary.
  • OSHA 10 certification is required.
  • Frequent travel for extended periods is expected.
