Lone Star Materials Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic - Equipment Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring the maintenance and repair of our company-owned tools and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the condition of defective tools and fleet vehicles, collaborating with the Equipment Manager to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repairs and obtain authorization from the Equipment Manager before commencing work.
- Perform routine maintenance on company-owned tools and vehicles, adhering to a standard schedule developed with the Equipment Manager.
- Order replacement parts from vendors and ensure that the Equipment Manager is informed of all deliveries and associated paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop area, ensuring that tools are stored properly and surfaces are free of debris.
Trade school or 3-5 years' experience in a related field is preferred.
Knowledge & Experience- Ability to summarize actions and communicate information to supervisors.
- Ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Work will be performed in a general warehouse environment and on construction sites.
- May require availability for overtime hours and some travel.
- Requires periodic participation in company events and meetings.
- Ability to move over rough terrain on project sites.
