Job Summary

Zachry Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Equipment Coordinator to join our Equipment Asset Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of tools and equipment to various areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate the timely delivery of tools and equipment from various areas.
  • Work closely with buyers, field equipment superintendents, project controls, and construction site management team to ensure the timely delivery of tools and equipment.
  • Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems, evaluate realistic options, and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.
  • Respond daily to inquiries regarding the status of tools and equipment or information.
  • Provide advisory services for area of specialty and interface with other contractors or agencies for normal performance of job.
  • Develop and maintain suspense record systems dealing with the status of tools and equipment, or data, some or all of which may be classified in nature.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that includes but is not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Have attention to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and collaboration, and enhances productivity in the workplace.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and do presentations in PowerPoint.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Two - five years related industry experience.
  • Basic Knowledge of construction equipment.
  • 1-2 years of customer relationship skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Understanding and implementation of service contracts.
  • Basic Microsoft - Excel and PowerPoint essential.
  • Able to travel 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-5 years construction field experience.
  • 1-2 years equipment-related coordination experience.
  • Experience with Pivot tables.
Physical Demands

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi-limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry, and move objects safely.

Work Environment

The Construction Equipment Coordinator will work in multiple environments, including an office, warehouse, and in a trailer or building on construction sites. They must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less. Job site will contain: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms.
