We are seeking a skilled Life Skills Manager to join our team at Urban Peak Denver. As a key member of our program staff, you will play a vital role in helping youth achieve their goals and overcome challenges.

About the Role:

">
  • We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in youth development, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.
  • You will work closely with our Housing Supervisor to provide direct supervision of youth at our shelter and/or housing programs.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring client safety, providing delivery of appropriate and effective program services, and maintaining a safe and positive environment.

Requirements:

">
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, and two years' experience working with high-risk adolescent populations in a shelter, residential, or transitional housing environment.
  • Lived experience reflective of the youth we serve is encouraged but not required.
  • The ability to connect and work effectively with a diverse, resistant street youth population.
  • A commitment to delivering trauma-informed services that prioritize the physical and emotional safety of youth and staff.
">Key Skills and Qualifications:">
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Knowledge of issues related to homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse among high-risk young adults.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including multi-tasking, assessment, organization, and prioritization.
  • Able to pass both federal and state background checks and a pre-employment TB screening.
