We are seeking a dedicated Youth Program Development Specialist to join our team at Warren Village Inc.

As a key member of our Family Services department, you will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and implementing enriching activities for our youth program, Kids' Club. This comprehensive program focuses on social-emotional development, increasing overall wellness, and academic success for elementary and middle school children.

The successful candidate will possess a strong ability to work with children, demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and showcase excellent communication skills. A bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or education is preferred, but not mandatory.

This part-time position (25 hours per week) comes with a competitive salary range of $23.50 - $29.50, depending on experience. You will have the opportunity to work closely with staff, volunteers, parents, and children to fulfill our mission and contribute to the growth and well-being of our community.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm during the school year and from 2:30pm to 4:30pm in June, July, and August. Additional hours are expected for program curriculum preparation, assessment, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate enrichment activities for Kids' Club participants.
  • Coordinate and facilitate summer activities for youth participants.
  • Engage in one-on-one assessment, goal setting, and mentoring with a caseload of 8-24 youth.
  • Oversee recruitment, enrollment, attendance, and participation in Kids' Club and Summer Enrichment programs.
  • Provide direct supervision and management of a group of children in a safe and caring environment.
  • Maintain a structured, clean, and organized environment for children.
  • Establish supportive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.

  • Experience working with children and basic understanding of child development.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Proven history of managing a large group of children in a school or similar setting.
