Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a seasoned software development lead to spearhead the transition of a legacy system to a Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) compliant cloud-based platform. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with the full software development lifecycle, embedded software development, and orbital mechanics. This position requires a Secret security clearance and is based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the software development team.
  • Design, develop, and test software applications for large-scale operational systems.
  • Develop and maintain software release pipelines for streamlining system deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
  • Develop and implement operational plans that have a measurable impact on business results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with at least 9 years of software development experience or graduate degree with at least 7 years of software development experience.
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience developing software in C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Experience applying containerization technologies (e.g., Tanzu, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with DevSecOps and developing CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with agile development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Previous experience with Department of Defense engineering.
  • Previous experience with aerospace engineering, focusing on Ground Electro-Optical Systems.
  • Active Security+ certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

L3Harris Technologies offers a competitive salary range of $112,500 - $209,500, as well as a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
