Business Development Senior Staff

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Business Development Senior Staff to join our Commercial Civil Space Business Development team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to secure contracts for infrastructure development and production, establishing key partnerships in the industry and government sectors, and leading new business capture efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Maximize Lockheed Martin's involvement in current and future civil and commercial space programs, develop strategies to secure contracts for infrastructure development and production, and establish key partnerships in the industry and government sectors.
- Leadership: Lead new business capture efforts, manage budgets, and collaborate closely with other teams to drive new business growth.
- Technology Roadmapping: Create technology roadmaps and internal R&D projects to gain a competitive edge and win new business.
- Customer Focus: Focus on the customer's mission, best value, and competitive environment to secure new business.
- Team Collaboration: Align technologies and execution with cross-functional teams for long-term technology advancement.
- Industry Experience: 9-12 years of industry experience in developing business strategies for civil and commercial space programs.
- Leadership Experience: 3-4 years of team leadership experience.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of commercial and civil space missions, technologies, and customers, experience in proposal preparation, negotiation, and contracting activities, and hands-on involvement in pursuit, capture, and proposal activities.
- Advanced Industry Experience: 12+ years of industry experience in developing business strategies for space programs.
- Senior Leadership Experience: 4+ years of team leadership experience.
- Technical Expertise: Understanding of nuclear power and propulsion technologies, familiarity with in-situ resource utilization technologies, and experience working with government customers and collaborating across organizations.
