About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a Senior GN&C Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced GN&C systems for spacecraft and other aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop GN&C systems, including navigation, control, and communication systems
  • Develop and test algorithms for GN&C systems, including Kalman filtering and attitude determination
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GN&C systems with other spacecraft systems
  • Conduct trade studies and analysis to optimize GN&C system performance
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for GN&C systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in GN&C systems engineering
  • Strong experience with simulation and programming tools, including Matlab/Simulink and C++
  • Experience with Kalman filtering and attitude determination
  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with flight software development and autocode to C++
  • Experience working with Smallsats
  • Familiarity with GN&C hardware suite for space applications
  • Mission operations experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
