Student Career Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated Student Career Advisor to join our team at NH Job Corps in Manchester, NH. As a Student Career Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and career development goals of our students.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, counseling, or a related field, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include 11 paid holidays, paid vacation, 401(k) matching, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance.
In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating the arrival of new students, providing transitional support services, and helping students prepare for employment, higher education, or advanced training. You will also work closely with community agencies, employment services, high schools, trade and technical schools, and other agencies to inform prospective applicants about the Job Corps program.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or a closely related field from an accredited school. Alternatively, you may have an associate's degree in a related field and two years of related experience. A valid in-state driver's license and Department of Labor approval are also required.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and work effectively as part of a team. They will also be able to observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
