Position Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing daily store functions and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically plan, organize, and prioritize various objectives to enhance store performance.
- Exemplify exceptional leadership on the sales floor to engage customers and maintain visual merchandising standards that reflect the Frontgate brand.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of operational responsibilities, ensuring alignment between customer service and product presentation.
- Guarantee that brand and operational standards consistently meet or exceed expectations to uphold brand integrity.
- Analyze store performance metrics and team dynamics to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels to effectively meet store demands.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures, including HR regulations and legal standards.
- Foster positive relationships with the Store Manager, team members, and brand partners to clarify priorities and share insights.
- Manage payroll effectively to enhance productivity and achieve financial goals.
- Provide strong leadership to ensure sales generation and operational functions are executed efficiently, resulting in high customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Actively participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes to attract top talent.
- Deliver comprehensive training for Sales Associates, focusing on product knowledge and the unique features of our offerings.
- Oversee the performance of Sales Associates, providing constructive feedback and coaching to drive improvement.
- Encourage a positive work environment where all team members are treated with fairness and respect.
- Educate the team on building customer loyalty through various in-store initiatives, including design services and community engagement programs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred: College degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of management experience in the specialty retail sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as POS systems.
- Strong communication, delegation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Open-minded and eager to learn new methodologies and skills.
- Physical capability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50lbs.
- Occasional travel may be required to support new store openings.
- Comfortable with climbing ladders and maintaining a positive demeanor in a customer-focused environment.
