COPP Appeals/Hearings Specialist

Job Summary:
The Idaho Division of Human Resources is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented COPP Appeals/Hearings Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for taking hearing minutes for parole and revocation hearings, entering and verifying decisions, and database entries.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of administrative duties to enable the Commissioners and Hearing Manager to function effectively.
- Interact with members of the public and explain hearing procedures, issues, and appeal rights as needed.
- Prepare cases for analysis and assist in training staff in appropriate hearing conduct, preparation of information for hearings, and how to record minutes and prepare action taken reports.
- Provide support to the Hearing Manager during Parole Hearing Sessions.
Requirements:
- Some knowledge of legal terminology and administrative law proceedings.
- Experience researching and interpreting laws, and knowledge of automated record systems.
- Good knowledge of computer applications and ability to keyboard/type at the rate of 50 net wpm or more.
