Production Assembler Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual and mechanized assembly operations with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and quality requirements, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Process specifications using hand tools, machinery, air presses, jigs, and other equipment and tooling.
  • Follow work instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other operations such as loading and unloading components into tooling and powders into cups to press.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to set up and monitor equipment through written and verbal instructions.
  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing-related experience with the ability to use and read accurately various measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform fine mechanical assembly, including resistance welding, light machining, and electrical testing.
  • Certified soldering skills per J-STD/NASA a plus.
  • Defense and Aerospace Industry experience, including working knowledge of company product lines, a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Appropriate safety equipment as required by area. Some test and manufacturing areas may include exposure to noise and require hearing protection. Safety training in the handling of pyrotechnic materials is required. The physical activities of this position include work lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, repetitive motions, stooping, balancing, pushing, pulling, coordinating, talking, and hearing.
