Payroll Administrator

UDR is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at our corporate office in Highlands Ranch. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for assisting in the administration of payroll processes and performing data entry to ensure accurate and timely processing of time and earnings records.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation, generation, and distribution of bi-weekly and weekly payroll.
- Calculate tax deductions, benefits, and other deductions to ensure paychecks are accurate.
- Review timekeeping records to ensure hours are captured properly and sign off, as necessary.
- Verify paid time off (sick, vacation, personal, and floating holiday) is captured and paid properly.
- Calculate overtime, travel time, overtime differential, and other special adjustments and rates for paychecks and records.
- Explain payroll calculations and deductions to associates and managers, investigate payroll problems, and make appropriate corrections.
- Maintain current associate information in the payroll and related systems by reviewing and processing approved forms.
- Interpret payroll-related policies and regulations for associates and managers and stay abreast of new developments and changes in the payroll field.
- Interpret and process garnishment orders as they are received.
- Interpret Union CBA's and ensure Kronos and payroll system are set up to support and calculate as required.
- Prepare and distribute termination checks.
- Identify, review, and streamline all critical payroll processes to ensure maximum efficiencies and provide recommendations and results.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business major preferred.
- Minimum of three years' specialized experience in all relevant payroll functions and/or equivalent field.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license unless otherwise noted.

Hourly Range: $28.85/hr. - $34.13/hr., depends on experience
