Job Description

This Perioperative Patient Coordinator position offers a unique opportunity to join the United Surgical Partners International team in Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the pre-admission process for patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation and testing are completed before surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate pre-admission process for patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and testing are completed before surgery
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather information and coordinate care
  • Assess patient's medical history and medication list to identify potential risks or complications
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to address patient's needs and goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in perioperative setting
  • Current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
