Behavioral Support Specialist

At APluscare LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new support services to meet the changing needs of individuals receiving services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive behavior support plans.
  • Provide training to staff on implementing formal behavior support plans.
  • Develop and monitor behavior intervention strategies with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Intervene during behavioral crises.
  • Understand and implement current DHS rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist and cooperate in inspections and investigations.
  • Act as a liaison with parents, staff, and DHS staff to ensure the continuum of care and support for members.
  • Participate in after-hour on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

  • BCBA required, Master's degree in Psychology or related field required.
  • Extremely strong organizational, writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity and flexibility are essential in assuming significant responsibility.
  • Experience working in racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities working with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
