Job Overview

Our client, a prominent non-profit healthcare organization, is seeking a Budgeting Manager. This pivotal role will ensure the organization maintains financial integrity while delivering exceptional patient care with a focus on service excellence. The Budgeting Manager will oversee all facets of the facility's operational and capital budgets and engage in continuous efforts to identify opportunities for workflow restructuring and the implementation of innovative care models. This position serves as an internal consultant, facilitating the identification and execution of new programs and processes aimed at enhancing efficiency, while also coordinating the review and monitoring of relevant statistical and financial variance reports.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors.
  • Supervise and manage Organizational Management Reports.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly reports detailing Volume Statistics, Operating Revenue, Operating Expenses, and Capital Expenditures.
  • Analyze trends and variances.
  • Present analytical findings to Senior Leadership.
  • Provide insightful ad hoc analyses related to various organizational aspects as required.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of the Annual Capital and Operating Budgets, as well as Year-End Financial Forecasts.
  • Assist senior management in developing budget packages and preparing budget presentations.
  • Mentor and supervise Financial Analysts.
  • Lead and engage in various special projects within Finance and Operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Business, or Finance is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in healthcare analysis.
  • Proficient knowledge of healthcare budgeting, financial forecasting, cost accounting, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with Kaufman Hall/Axiom/Syntellis Budgeting & Management Reporting tools.
  • Advanced skills in Excel are essential.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with a comfort level in manipulating and summarizing data from extensive datasets.
