Job Overview

The Budgeting Manager will oversee all facets of the facility's operational and capital budgets, actively participating in the continuous effort to identify restructuring opportunities and implement innovative care models. This position will also serve as an internal consultant, facilitating the identification and execution of new programs and processes aimed at enhancing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors.
  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation of Organizational Management Reports.
  • Oversee the monthly reporting of Volume Statistics, Operating Revenue, Operating Expenses, and Capital Expenditures.
  • Analyze trends and fluctuations in financial data.
  • Present analytical findings to Senior Leadership.
  • Provide detailed ad hoc analyses related to various organizational aspects as required.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of Annual Capital and Operating Budgets, as well as Year-End Financial Forecasts.
  • Assist senior management in developing budget packages and preparing budget presentations.
  • Mentor and supervise Financial Analysts.
  • Lead and engage in various special projects for Finance and Operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Business, or Finance is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in healthcare analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare budgeting, financial forecasting, cost accounting, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with Kaufman Hall/Axiom/Syntellis Budgeting & Management Reporting tools.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a comfort level in managing and summarizing large data sets.
