Job Overview

Our client, a prominent non-profit healthcare organization, is seeking a Budgeting Manager. This role is essential in ensuring the organization maintains financial integrity while delivering exceptional patient care. The Budgeting Manager will oversee all facets of the facility's operational and capital budgets, actively participating in efforts to enhance efficiency and innovate care delivery models. This position serves as an internal advisor, focusing on the identification and implementation of new programs and processes aimed at improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors.
  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation of Organizational Management Reports.
  • Oversee the monthly reporting of Volume Statistics, Operating Revenue, Operating Expenses, and Capital Expenditures.
  • Analyze trends and variances.
  • Present analytical findings to Senior Leadership.
  • Provide comprehensive ad hoc analyses related to various organizational aspects as required.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of Annual Capital and Operating Budgets, as well as Year-End Financial Forecasts.
  • Assist senior management in the formulation of budget packages and preparation of budget presentations.
  • Mentor and supervise Financial Analysts.
  • Lead and engage in various special projects for Finance and Operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Business, or Finance is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in healthcare analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare budgeting, financial forecasting, cost accounting, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with Kaufman Hall/Axiom/Syntellis Budgeting & Management Reporting tools.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a comfort level in handling large data sets.
