Position Overview:

As a member of the Clinical Operations Team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining expertise in Athena EMR and associated applications. This position involves collaborating with our practices to implement effective workflows, policies, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Implementation and Configuration:
    • Manage the setup and deployment of the Athena Health EMR system.
    • Tailor the EMR system to meet clinical workflows and regulatory standards.
  • System Maintenance:
    • Identify and rectify technical issues and system errors, including interface error queues.
  • User Training and Support:
    • Develop and maintain user documentation and training resources.
    • Conduct training sessions for healthcare providers and staff on EMR usage.
    • Offer ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users.
  • Data Management:
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of patient data within the EMR system.
    • Implement data security protocols to safeguard patient information.
    • Generate reports and analyze data to enhance clinical decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
    • Engage in quality assurance activities and audits related to the EMR system.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with clinical quality teams, IT departments, and practice users to address EMR needs.
    • Effectively communicate with vendors and external partners regarding system updates and issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Athena as an end user and trainer is essential.
  • Familiarity with billing and revenue cycle management processes is required.
  • Understanding of how EMR configuration impacts various components of healthcare operations.
  • Knowledge of interfaces, reports, and data visualization tools is preferred.
