Job Summary

Mountain Ltd. is seeking an experienced Fiber Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in the Beaverton, OR area.

As a Fiber Infrastructure Engineer at Mountain Ltd., you will play a critical role in designing and implementing fiber optic infrastructure solutions for traditional and wireless telecom providers across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer fiber optic infrastructure, including estimating, analyzing, and planning for copper and fiber cables, poles, direct buried, and conduit systems.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and reports for loop loss design, pole, conduit, and buried facility design measurements.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking estimates against actual costs.
  • Perform quality control on engineering work for other team members.
  • Collaborate with multiple groups to implement intra- and inter-state designs.

Requirements

  • Ability to identify existing voice/data plant, electric, and other utilities on site plans and in the field.
  • Expertise in obtaining right of ways and easements where required.
  • Experience managing other OSP Engineers and reviewing/correcting their projects.
  • Knowledge of COE/OSP principles, work order procedures, voice/data industry standards, PC applications, and COE/OSP record and/or computer aided drafting systems.
  • Own tools such as measuring wheel, height stock, pull finder, laptop, etc.
  • Experience with local networks and National Electric Safety Code (NESC) for engineering requirements.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
