About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fiber Optic Network Engineer to join our team at Mountain Ltd. in Beaverton, OR.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex fiber optic networks for traditional and wireless telecommunications companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed outside plant facility engineering tasks, including estimating, analyzing, designing, planning, and budget tracking.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and reports.
  • Design and implement loop loss designs for load and repeater electronics.
  • Plan and design field-mounted switch serving areas.
  • Perform pole, conduit, and buried facility design measurements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in OSP/ISP engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of COE/OSP principles, work order procedures, voice/data industry standards, PC applications, and COE/OSP record and/or computer-aided drafting systems.
  • Ability to identify existing voice/data plant, electric, and other utilities on site plans and in the field.
  • Experience managing other OSP engineers and reviewing/correcting their projects.
  • Expert knowledge of obtaining right-of-way and easements where required.
  • Ability to perform quality control on engineering work for other team members.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) for engineering requirements.
