At TEKsystems, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. This is a 4-month contract-to-hire opportunity that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled technician with experience in fiber optic installation, cable termination, and structured cabling systems. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The job responsibilities include:

  • Installing, removing, relocating, and maintaining inside wiring infrastructure, including all levels of wire, cable, and fiber.
  • Performing necessary work to connect, disconnect, reconnect, test, repair, and maintain customer-provided voice and data equipment.
  • Working with multiple aspects of the cable installation process, including OSP, ISP, rack, stack, patch, pathway construction, rough-in, routing, Telecommunication Room build-out, cable terminations, labeling, and grounding.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of fiber optic installation and cable termination.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
