Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure effective and profitable operations of the meat department through sales maximization and team member growth. As an Assistant Manager, you'll be responsible for receiving deliveries, breaking down loads, and rotating the cooler. You'll also weigh, price, and label products, stock cases, prepare valued-added products, and provide exemplary customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive deliveries, break down loads, and rotate the cooler.
  • Weigh, price, and label products.
  • Stock cases and prepare valued-added products.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
  • Manage sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets.
  • Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans.
  • Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met.
  • Train team members and manage the department in the meat manager's absence.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Preferred Requirements
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimally 1-year relevant work experience.
