Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Executive Director of Government and Public Relations to join our team at a growing reputable non-profit healthcare organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the public image and community impact of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy to enhance our image and position within the marketplace and the general public.
  • Oversee the development of all marketing collateral and public relations activities, including media relations, social media, special events, and community outreach.
  • Manage the organization's brand and reputation, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Lead and manage the marketing and public relations team to ensure they are meeting their objectives and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in healthcare, organ procurement, marketing, and public relations, and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key media contacts, community leaders, and industry influencers.
  • Serve as a spokesperson and lead point person on media interactions that help promote and/or impact the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level marketing and public relations role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic marketing and public relations programs to advance an organization's mission and goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare policies and organ procurement organizations (OPO).
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, organization's board of directors, and staff.
  • Proven track record of success in community outreach and engagement.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
