Aerotek is currently in search of skilled aircraft structures technicians.

As a Structures Technician, you will be tasked with the comprehensive maintenance and refurbishment of heavy-lift military helicopters, specifically the CH-53E model. Your role will involve the assembly and repair of H53 pylons, where you will utilize detailed blueprints to execute repairs through various methods such as riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal. You will also engage in the Pylon shop activities, where the client undertakes the manufacturing and repair of pylons under contract with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This position will require proficiency in metal cutting, bending, drilling, reaming, countersinking, riveting, and other essential metal forming and repair operations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be prepared to perform a Structures test on or before the first day, which includes working with a few dozen rivets and executing a couple of bends.
  • Possession of personal tools is required, with basic hand tools being the minimum standard.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Capability to drill, cut, bend, countersink, and rivet aircraft sheet metal is essential.
