Job Summary

GetixHealth is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for ensuring that client-assigned healthcare accounts are billed and paid accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Collections: Accurately and efficiently collect payments from clients and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Customer Service: Respond to telephone inquiries from clients, utilizing standard procedures and scripts to provide timely and effective resolutions.
  • Research and Resolution: Gather information, perform research, and resolve customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication: Communicate options for resolution to customers in a timely manner and inform them about services available and assess their needs.
  • Scheduling and Prioritization: Schedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls, and escalate as required.
  • Department Goals: Assist in planning and implementing department goals and make recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or college degree from an accredited college or university, with two to five years of industry experience in medical revenue cycle management.
  • Language Skills: Spanish fluency is preferable.
  • Medical Knowledge: Proven understanding of the medical revenue cycle, medical experience, either practical or classroom knowledge, and demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Proven attention to detail and good attendance record.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrated ability to perform work in alignment with company mission and values.
  • Technical Skills: Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications.
Work Environment
  • Remote or Office Location: Work environment is either remote or an office location.
  • Physical Requirements: The position requires the dexterity to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, and the ability to sit for extended periods with frequent bending and stooping.
