Job DescriptionThis role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, disbursements, and receipts. You will also assist with reporting financial information, handle correspondence, maintain files, and support the supervisor in implementing systems improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage Financial Transactions: Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Disbursement and Receipting: Manage federal draws, vendor payments, and other financial disbursements, while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and analyses, providing insights for informed decision-making.
- Correspondence and Files: Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintain accurate and organized files, and ensure compliance with records management policies.
- Education and Experience: Three years of combined higher-level education and/or experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, or financial planning and analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop solutions to improve processes and efficiency.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including tribal members, employees, and vendors.
