**Job Summary**
The Medical Security Specialist is responsible for enforcing all laws, rules, and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department. You will patrol assigned areas, remain alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
You will aid and assist visitors, students, and staff. Perform building security and safety checks. Receive complaints and make appropriate preliminary investigations. Issue visitor passes and temporary vehicle permits.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you should have a high school graduate or equivalent. Three to six months' experience in a security or work-related capacity, Class B License with passenger/air brake endorsement preferred.
You should be able to obtain a bus driver's license. Familiarity with problems of underprivileged, minority groups, especially youth. Good writing skills.
**Salary Range**
$40,000 - $60,000 per year.
