Northern Light Acadia Hospital is a comprehensive behavioral health delivery system managed from Bangor, Maine. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing therapeutic care for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patient well-being: Respond to patients' needs, considering their developmental stage and psychiatric symptoms.
  • Provide support: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, and aid in recovery with a focus on social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Cross-train and precept: Develop expertise in two other inpatient/POU hospital services and participate in quality improvement initiatives as a subject matter expert.
  • Communicate effectively: Use clear language, listen actively, and speak appropriately to maintain a safe environment and ensure successful treatment and stabilization.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position (36 hours per week) located at Acadia Hospital. The salary range is estimated at $55,000 - $65,000 annually, based on the job's requirements and responsibilities.
