Position Overview:

This is a hybrid role that supports the Property and Casualty producer and Account Executive in managing mid-sized and moderately complex client accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of coverages, underwriting practices, and relevant legislative changes to foster strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives while identifying opportunities for new coverage lines.

Key Responsibilities:

The following outlines the primary responsibilities associated with this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary:

1. Establish and nurture vital relationships with clients and carriers through various communication channels.

2. Provide assistance to clients and team members regarding service inquiries, billing, claims, and problem resolution.

3. Actively pursue cross-selling opportunities and recommend additional coverage options to existing clients.

4. Collaborate with the producer and/or Account Executive to oversee the renewal process for assigned accounts, including coordinating meetings to present renewal proposals and supporting documentation.

5. Organize and lead meetings with clients and producers to discuss renewal strategies and options.

6. Prepare marketing materials or provide necessary information to marketing personnel, ensuring the producer/Account Executive/Account Manager effectively presents options to clients.

7. Conduct regular account management visits to review renewal decisions and strategize with the producer on addressing any concerns.

8. Analyze claims reports monthly and provide clients with updates on a regular basis.

9. Offer administrative support for special projects and contribute to the development of new services as requested.

10. Achieve proficiency in the Agency Management System to manage policy updates, document client interactions, and track service issues.

11. Participate in training sessions, seminars, and carrier meetings to stay informed about new products and legislative updates.

12. Mentor and provide guidance to junior Account Managers.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and training.

2. A minimum of five years of experience in Property and Casualty insurance or a related field.

3. A state-issued insurance license is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

4. Experience managing large retail accounts is preferred; however, experience with small to medium accounts will also be considered.

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

6. Excellent problem-solving abilities.

7. Strong organizational skills.

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications.

9. Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight trips.

Eligible employees working 20 hours or more per week are entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, which may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and tax-advantaged savings accounts. All regular employees can contribute to a 401(k) plan, with company matching contributions available after one year of service.
