We are seeking an exceptional Culinary Operations Manager to join our growing team.


The Culinary Operations Manager will oversee the daily functions of the kitchen, lead and coordinate kitchen personnel, manage inventory levels, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and maintain a pristine and organized kitchen environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely food preparation and service. Delegate tasks and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Ensure the proper operation of kitchen equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with health and food safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inventory assessments to guarantee sufficient supplies for daily operations; order supplies as required.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Monitor and document food waste, spoilage, and losses.
  • Assess food quality and presentation to align with established standards and expectations.
  • Develop and implement procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety within the kitchen.
  • Provide training for new kitchen staff and ongoing development opportunities for current team members.
  • Cultivate a culture of care, utilizing company-provided models, and aligning with the mission and vision of Chick-fil-A Barry Road.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions with kitchen leaders, offering constructive feedback and achievable goals for professional growth.
  • Design, modify, and implement systems that empower the kitchen team to succeed.
  • Take ownership of kitchen operations by holding the team accountable for standards related to taste, quality, temperature, and safety.
  • Assist in coordinating catering orders to ensure timely preparation of menu items.
  • Ability to analyze data and summarize information for the kitchen and management teams.
  • Participate in and/or lead regular meetings with department leaders.
- ServeSafe Certification required within 90 days of employment, if not already certified.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within a high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work weekends and major holidays.
  • Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
An ideal candidate will possess flexible availability, with many major holidays required. Early morning, evening, and night shifts are essential.

The role of Culinary Operations Manager is vital to the success of a restaurant or hospitality establishment. This position requires a passion for service, reliability, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
